A professional leadership development programme for new and aspiring leaders
Are you a new leader in the early stages of your leadership career? Or are you ready to apply for your first leadership role? Then this is the programme for you. It will help you develop your leadership skills and confidence as well as strategies to lead and manage a team and improve teaching and learning.
Who should apply?
- New middle leaders or those planning to apply for a middle leader role
- Middle leaders who have not undertaken any professional leadership development
- Professional support staff – leading a team of support staff or administrators
The programme will help you:

Day 1 – Modelling leadership

Day 2 – Monitoring

Day 3 – Dialogue
- Thinking styles
- Learning styles
- Professional dialogue
- Setting up a small research project
Inter-sessional tasks will be undertaken between the leadership days and participants will have access to an online resource based network to enhance learning and enable further networking. Throughout the duration of the programme participants will carry out a small scale action research project and present this in a learning conversation at the end of the programme.
The programme finishes with a learning conversation and celebration twilight when you will present and discuss your action research.
